Abstract

Objective: To analyse the effectiveness of photobiomodulation (PBM) on the salivary status of patients with Sjögren's Syndrome (SS).

_To quantify the salivary flow of patients with SS, before and after PBM.

_To compare the salivary composition of patients with SS, before and after PBM.

Methods: Prospective, crossover, experimental, prospective, interventional approach study. The study subjects will be divided into two groups. At the beginning, salivary analysis will be performed on the whole sample; applying in group A: photobiomodulation (808nm, 1J per point) and placebo in B. Then crossover is performed. Salivary analysis will be repeated after each phase. Statistical analysis: paired t-test, Wilcoxon

Expected Results: Increased salivary flow in patients treated with photobiomodulation, contributing to salivary normo-composition.
