Rejection rate

The rejection rate is the percentage of items rejected within a given period. For Odontoestomatología, in 2025 it was 48%.

Documents with external authorship

At least 50% of published works must come from authors external to the publishing entity and its editorial boards. In the case of journals published by associations, authors belonging to the publishing entity will be considered to be those who are part of the association's board of directors or who are listed on the journal's editorial team.

Application note: “To calculate the percentage, original research articles, review articles, opinion pieces, essays, and clinical cases will be reviewed to ensure that at least one author is external to the journal's publishing institution. Members of the editorial boards will be considered internal, as will authors affiliated with the publishing entity. To consider an author as external, the highest level of affiliation will be taken into account, for example, a university (not its faculties or institutes). This characteristic must be verified in the last three published issues.”

In Odontoestomatología, authors from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Costa Rica, Peru, Uruguay, among others, publish.
